Standing Tibialis Raise Wall Supported

The wall-supported toe raise from a step: heels on its edge, forefeet over it, so the toes drop below the step first.

How to do it

Setup

On a step facing a wall, heels on its front edge, forefeet hanging, hands on the wall.

Steps

  1. Let the toes sink below the step's edge.
  2. Pull them up toward the shins as high as they go.
  3. Pause at the top, then lower under control.

Common mistakes

Heels creeping off the step: keep them planted on its edge. Dropping into the stretch: lower the toes slowly. Knees bending to help: legs straight, only the ankles move.

Breathing

Exhale lifting, inhale lowering.
