Standing Floor Tibialis Raise Wall Supported

A standing toe raise facing a wall, hands on it for balance, feet under the hips; the lightest wall tibialis raise.

How to do it

Setup

Facing a wall at arm's length, palms on it, feet hip-width under the hips.

Steps

  1. Rock onto the heels and lift the toes high.
  2. Hold for a beat without leaning back.
  3. Set the forefoot down softly and repeat.

Common mistakes

Sitting the hips back to lift the toes: stay upright over the heels. Leaning into the wall: the hands only balance. Toes barely flickering: lift the forefoot fully.

Breathing

Exhale lifting, inhale lowering.
