Standing One-Arm Circling Shoulders
One straight arm draws circles at the side, small to wide, forward then back; one shoulder warms up at a time.
How to do it
Setup
Standing tall, one arm straight out to the side, the other hand on the hip.
Steps
- Draw small circles forward, growing them as the shoulder loosens.
- Reverse and circle backward for the same count.
- Switch arms and repeat.
Common mistakes
Swinging the trunk: the body stays still and the shoulder moves the arm. The arm bending as it tires: keep it straight. Forcing big circles through a pinch: stay as large as moves freely.
Breathing
Steady throughout; never held.
