Standing Arms Flinging
Standing with the forearms stacked in front of the chest, pulse the elbows back, then fling one arm up on a diagonal as the other bends up beside the head.
How to do it
Setup
Standing tall, feet hip-width, forearms stacked one over the other in front of the chest at shoulder height.
Steps
- Pulse the stacked elbows back a little, keeping them at shoulder height.
- Fling one arm up and out on a diagonal as the other bends up beside the head.
- Fold the forearms back in front of the chest and repeat.
Common mistakes
Elbows dropping below the shoulders on the pulses: keep the forearms at shoulder height. Chin poking forward as the arms open: keep the head over the shoulders. Rushing the flings: an easy, controlled rhythm.
Breathing
Steady with the rhythm.
