Stability Ball Pike Push-Up

Feet on a stability ball in a plank, do a push-up, then roll the ball in with the straight legs as the hips pike up, and roll back out.

How to do it

Setup

Hands under the shoulders, the tops of the feet on a stability ball, body in one line.

Steps

  1. Lower the chest to just above the floor and press back up.
  2. Pike the hips up high, rolling the ball in toward the hands.
  3. Roll the ball back out to the plank and start the next push-up.

Common mistakes

Hips sagging during the push-up: brace the plank first. Knees bending in the pike: keep the legs straight and let the hips rise. Ball wobbling sideways: slow the roll so it tracks straight.

Breathing

Inhale down, exhale pressing.
