Stability Ball Front Plank

The forearm plank with the forearms on a stability ball and the feet on the floor; the rolling ball makes the trunk work to stay still.

How to do it

Setup

Forearms on top of the ball, hands together, feet on the floor behind, body in one line.

Steps

  1. Brace and hold the line from head to heels.
  2. Keep the ball still under the forearms.
  3. Hold for the time, then step the knees down.

Common mistakes

Ball rolling away: press the forearms down and in. Hips piking up to rest: lower them into line. Feet too close together: widen them until the hold is steady.

Breathing

Steady throughout; never held.
