Plank Knee Tap

In a forearm plank, bend one knee to tap the floor and straighten it back, then the other; the hips stay level.

How to do it

Setup

Forearm plank, elbows under the shoulders, feet hip-width, body in one line.

Steps

  1. Bend one knee and lower it to tap the floor lightly.
  2. Straighten the leg back into the plank.
  3. Tap with the other knee; time the set.

Common mistakes

Hips dropping with the knee: only the knee bends; the hips stay in line. Knee landing hard: tap the floor lightly. Hips rocking side to side: keep them square.

Breathing

Steady throughout; never held.
