Resistance Band Plank Jack
The plank jack with a band looped around the legs; every jump out stretches it, so the outer hips work on top of the plank.
How to do it
Setup
High plank, hands under the shoulders, feet together, a loop band just above the knees.
Steps
- Jump the feet apart against the band.
- Let them come back together under control.
- Hold the shoulders over the hands; the hips stay down.
Common mistakes
Band snapping the feet together: resist it on the way in. Hips popping up on each jump: brace harder. Short jumps that barely stretch the band: jump wide enough to feel it.
Breathing
Fast steady rhythm.
