Sliding Floor Pulldown on Towel
Kneeling on a towel on a smooth floor with the hands far in front, the straight arms pull the body forward along the floor, the way a straight-arm pulldown works the lats.
How to do it
Setup
Knees on a towel on a smooth floor, hands flat on the floor far in front, arms straight, body stretched long.
Steps
- Press the palms down and pull the knees forward on the towel, arms straight.
- Stop with the shoulders over the hands.
- Slide the knees back out into the long position under control.
Common mistakes
Bending the elbows to help: the arms stay straight; the lats pull. Lower back sagging in the long position: brace and slide out only as far as you can hold. Towel on carpet or a gripping floor: it must slide freely.
Breathing
Exhale pulling in, inhale sliding out.
