Band Front Plank with Single-Arm Pulldown

In a high plank facing a band anchored low in front, one hand pulls the band from full reach back to the ribs while the hips refuse to turn.

How to do it

Setup

High plank facing the anchor, feet wide, the band in one hand with the arm reaching forward.

Steps

  1. Pull the band back until the hand reaches the ribs.
  2. Keep the hips level and still; only the arm moves.
  3. Reach forward again, work that side for the set's time, then switch.

Common mistakes

Hips twisting as the hand pulls: widen the feet and brace. Hips sagging toward the floor: squeeze the glutes, one line. Supporting hand drifting forward: stack it under the shoulder.

Breathing

Exhale on the pull, inhale reaching.
