Single-Leg Stand on BOSU Ball
The single-leg stand on the dome of a BOSU; the soft surface makes the ankle and the hip work harder to hold still.
How to do it
Setup
One foot in the middle of a BOSU dome, the other knee lifted, arms relaxed at the sides.
Steps
- Step onto the middle of the dome and find your balance.
- Lift the other knee to hip height and hold.
- Step down with control and switch legs.
Common mistakes
Foot near the edge of the dome: plant it in the middle. Knee rocking side to side: soft knee, pelvis level. Jumping off when you lose balance: step down.
Breathing
Slow and even through the hold.
