Single-Leg Burpee

The whole burpee on one leg – the other foot never touches the floor, from the kick-back to the leap; switch legs halfway through the set.

How to do it

Setup

Stand on one leg, the other foot lifted behind you.

Steps

  1. Hands to the floor and kick the standing leg back to a one-leg plank.
  2. Do a push-up with the free foot still off the floor.
  3. Hop the foot back in and leap off that leg.
  4. Land on the same leg; switch legs halfway through the set.

Common mistakes

Free foot touching down: it stays up from start to finish. Hip sagging on the plank side: brace the glutes. Landing on a straight knee: bend into the catch.

Breathing

Exhale on the push-up and the jump.
