Burpee Broad Jump

A burpee that finishes with a jump forward instead of straight up.

Burpee Broad Jump, illustrated

How to do it

Setup

Standing tall, clear space ahead.

Steps

  1. Drop through the burpee: plank, push-up, feet in.
  2. Jump FORWARD as far as control allows.
  3. Land soft and flow into the next burpee.

Common mistakes

Max-distance jumps on tired legs: controlled beats far. Stiff landings: knees bend into the catch. Skipping the push-up: the full burpee is the deal.

Breathing

Exhale on the push-up and the jump.
