Resistance Band Toe Side Walk

The lateral band walk done up on the toes: the band loads the hips at every side step, the calves hold the heels high.

How to do it

Setup

A loop band around the ankles, feet hip-width so it is taut, up on the toes.

Steps

  1. Step sideways against the band, staying on the toes.
  2. Follow with the other foot only until the band is still taut.
  3. Change the leading foot for the way back.

Common mistakes

Feet snapping together: stop while the band still pulls. Heels dropping to the floor: the set is done on the toes. Hips rocking each step: pelvis level, trunk still.

Breathing

Steady with the steps.
