Step Out from Squat
Hold a half squat and tap one straight leg out to the side and back, alternating, without rising.
How to do it
Setup
Feet hip-width, sitting in a half squat, hands clasped at the chest.
Steps
- Slide one straight leg out to the side, toe touching down.
- Bring it back under the hip, staying low.
- Switch sides at a steady rhythm.
Common mistakes
Rising out of the squat between taps: keep the height. Standing knee caving inward: track it over the toes. Torso tipping away from the moving leg: stay upright.
Breathing
Steady throughout; never held.
