Resistance Band Duck Walk

A forward walk in a half squat with a looped band above the knees and the toes turned out; the band makes the knees fight to stay apart.

How to do it

Setup

Looped band just above the knees, half squat, toes turned out, hands together at the chest.

Steps

  1. Step forward with one foot, the knee pushing out against the band.
  2. Bring the other foot through wide and step again.
  3. Keep the hips low and level all the way.

Common mistakes

Knees drifting in on the step: press them out into the band. Bobbing up and down: hold one squat height. Short, shuffling steps: step long enough to keep the band taut.

Breathing

Steady with the steps.
