Repeated Small Jumps

Two-footed jumps over a row of mini hurdles, one straight after another; each landing is the take-off for the next.

How to do it

Setup

Standing behind a row of low mini hurdles, feet hip-width, arms bent.

Steps

  1. Jump over the first hurdle on both feet.
  2. Touch down briefly on the balls of the feet and jump the next one.
  3. Land soft after the last hurdle and walk back to the start.

Common mistakes

Stopping between hurdles: the contacts stay short so the jumps link. Tucking the feet late and clipping a bar: lift the knees early. Knees caving on the contacts: track them over the toes.

Breathing

Exhale on each jump, inhale walking back.
