Quarter Sit-Up
The smallest sit-up: legs long on the floor, the head and shoulders lift while the hands slide along the floor toward the feet.
How to do it
Setup
Lying flat, legs straight and together, arms along the sides with the palms down.
Steps
- Lift the head and shoulders, sliding the hands toward the feet.
- Stop when the shoulder blades clear the floor.
- Lower the shoulders and the head slowly.
Common mistakes
Sitting up further: a quarter is the whole range. Tucking the chin to the chest: keep a gap under it. Legs lifting off the floor: keep them long and heavy.
Breathing
Exhale on the crunch, inhale lowering.
