Pulse-Up
Lying with the straight legs pointing up and the shoulders lifted, pulse the hips off the floor in short lifts toward the ceiling.
How to do it
Setup
On your back, straight legs raised to vertical, hands flat beside the hips, head and shoulders slightly lifted.
Steps
- Push the feet up so the hips leave the floor.
- Set the hips back down lightly and pulse again at once.
- Keep the legs vertical and the shoulders lifted the whole set.
Common mistakes
Rocking the legs toward the head: push straight up. Pushing off the floor with the hands: they only steady you. Neck taking the strain: tuck the chin slightly and hold the shoulders up with the abs.
Breathing
Short exhales on each pulse.
