Seated Frog Half to Full Sit-Up

A full sit-up in the frog position, soles together and knees open, the arms swept from overhead to a reach at the feet.

How to do it

Setup

Lying flat, soles of the feet together, knees dropped open, arms straight overhead on the floor.

Steps

  1. Sit up, bringing the straight arms overhead and forward.
  2. Fold forward over the open knees and touch the feet.
  3. Roll back down, the arms returning overhead to the floor.

Common mistakes

Knees closing as you rise: let them hang open; the frog is the variant. Throwing the arms to launch the sit-up: they move with the torso. Flopping onto the floor: lower slowly until the arms touch down overhead.

Breathing

Exhale sitting up, inhale rolling down.
