Power Sled Biceps Curl

Facing a loaded sled with its straps in the hands, curl the handles to the shoulders to drag the sled in, then back up to take up the slack.

How to do it

Setup

Facing the sled, straps taut, knees bent in a half squat, handles held underhand at arm's length.

Steps

  1. Curl the handles to the shoulders, dragging the sled toward you.
  2. Hold the half squat and a still torso; only the arms pull.
  3. Lower the handles, step back until the straps are taut, and repeat.

Common mistakes

Rowing the handles to the ribs: that is a sled row; the elbows stay at the sides and only bend. Leaning back to yank the sled: the legs brace, the arms curl. Starting from slack straps: take up the slack before every rep.

Breathing

Exhale on the curl, inhale lowering.
