One Side Archer Push-Up

The archer push-up kept on one side for the whole set: every rep lowers toward the same hand while the other arm stays straight, then the sides switch.

How to do it

Setup

High plank with the hands much wider than the shoulders, weight shifted toward the working hand.

Steps

  1. Lower the chest toward the working hand, the other arm straight to the side.
  2. Press back up without returning to the middle.
  3. Finish the set on that side, then switch.

Common mistakes

Straight arm bending to help: it only steadies; keep it long. Hips rotating toward the working side: square them to the floor. Working side stalling at half depth: take fewer reps and keep the full range.

Breathing

Inhale lowering, exhale pressing.
