Machine Incline Prone Neutral-Grip Row

Lying face down on the incline pad of a plate-loaded row, the neutral handles rowed up past the ribs.

How to do it

Setup

Feet on the foot plate, chest and belly on the incline pad, the vertical handles held palms in.

Steps

  1. Row the handles up until the elbows pass the back.
  2. Hold the squeeze without lifting off the pad.
  3. Lower until the arms hang long.

Common mistakes

Neck craning up: eyes down, the pad under the chest. Elbows drifting wide: the neutral grip keeps them along the ribs. Legs pushing to help: the feet only brace.

Breathing

Exhale on the row, inhale lowering.
