Machine Incline Prone Row

Lying face down on the incline pad of a plate-loaded row, the overhand handles rowed up with the elbows a little out.

How to do it

Setup

Feet on the foot plate, chest and belly on the incline pad, the handles held overhand, arms long.

Steps

  1. Row the handles up toward the chest.
  2. Squeeze the blades with the chest on the pad.
  3. Lower the levers to long arms.

Common mistakes

Head lifting to look ahead: neck long, eyes down. Chest leaving the pad at the top: fewer plates. Stopping short at the bottom: let the arms hang long.

Breathing

Exhale on the row, inhale lowering.
