Lying Leg Raise (Modified)
The easier start to the lying leg raise: from bent knees with the feet on the floor, draw one knee at a time up over the hip.
How to do it
Setup
On the back, arms by the sides, knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
Steps
- Lift one foot and draw that knee up over the hip.
- Set the foot back down softly.
- Repeat with the other leg and keep alternating.
Common mistakes
Rocking the pelvis side to side: keep the hips level as each knee rises. Dropping the foot: set it down softly. Lower back arching: press it into the floor before each lift.
Breathing
Exhale on each lift, inhale lowering.
