Bench Reverse Crunch Circle
Seated on a flat bench and leaning back on the hands, the legs travel in a circle: down and out beside the bench, then up and in toward the chest.
How to do it
Setup
Seated on a flat bench, hands gripping it just behind the hips, torso leaning back, legs extended in front.
Steps
- Draw the knees up in front of the chest as the torso sits up.
- Carry the legs out and down in an arc beside the bench as you lean back.
- Bring them round and up again in one smooth circle.
Common mistakes
Jerking the legs round: slow the circle until the abs control it. Chest dropping back onto the hands: the torso rises to meet each lift. Hips sliding on the bench: grip it firmly and sit square.
Breathing
Exhale drawing the knees in, inhale extending.
