Lying Leg Cross
Lying on the back with the arms out wide, one straight leg swings up and across the body toward the opposite hand and back, the shoulders staying down.
How to do it
Setup
On your back, arms straight out to the sides, palms down, legs long.
Steps
- Raise one straight leg and swing it across toward the opposite hand.
- Let the hips turn, the shoulders pinned to the floor.
- Bring the leg back to the middle and switch sides.
Common mistakes
Opposite shoulder lifting: keep both shoulder blades on the floor and reach less far. Bending the knee to get across: keep the leg straight and shorten the swing. Flinging the leg: swing it under control and return it just as slowly.
Breathing
Exhale on each twist, inhale returning.
