Standing Bent Knee Figure 8
Standing on one leg, lift the other knee to hip height and trace a figure eight with it, balancing on the standing leg.
How to do it
Setup
Standing tall on one leg, hands on the hips, the other knee lifted to about hip height.
Steps
- Trace a figure eight in the air with the lifted knee.
- Keep the standing leg steady and the torso upright.
- Change direction halfway, then switch legs.
Common mistakes
Knee dropping below hip height: keep it up through the whole eight. Leaning the torso to help the knee travel: the torso stays still. Standing knee locked: keep it soft.
Breathing
Steady throughout; never held.
