Hanging Deadbug

Hanging from a bar with the hips and knees bent at right angles, lower one leg toward the floor and bring it back while the other holds.

How to do it

Setup

Hanging from a bar, arms straight, both knees raised to hip height and bent at right angles.

Steps

  1. Lower one foot toward the floor, straightening that leg.
  2. Keep the other knee high and the hips still.
  3. Bring the leg back up and switch sides.

Common mistakes

Holding knee drifting down: it stays at hip height the whole set. Body swinging as the leg drops: lower it slowly and keep the shoulders set. Back arching as the leg straightens: brace and tuck the pelvis slightly.

Breathing

Inhale lowering the legs, exhale lifting them back.
