Lying Bicycle Crunch
The bicycle's pedaling with the head, the shoulders and the arms down on the floor: only the legs cycle, the abs holding the pelvis still.
How to do it
Setup
On your back, arms long by the sides, palms down, knees drawn up over the hips.
Steps
- Push one leg out long as the other knee comes to the chest.
- Switch in a smooth pedaling rhythm.
- Keep the lower back pressed to the floor.
Common mistakes
Lower back arching as a leg straightens: extend it higher. Racing the legs: a steady pace keeps the abs in charge. Lifting the head to help: it stays down; only the legs move here.
Breathing
Steady with the rhythm.
