Frogger

From a high plank, jump both feet forward to land wide outside the hands in a deep squat, hands still on the floor, then jump back out.

How to do it

Setup

Hands under the shoulders in a high plank, legs long, body in one line.

Steps

  1. Jump the feet in to land wide, outside the hands.
  2. Sink the hips low with the hands staying planted.
  3. Jump the feet back out to the plank and go again.

Common mistakes

Landing narrow between the hands: the feet go wide around them, or the hips cannot sink. Hands lifting off the floor: they stay planted; that sets it apart from the jump to a squat stand. Back sagging as the legs shoot out: land in a firm plank, belly braced.

Breathing

Fast steady rhythm.
