Lateral Twist Box Jump
The lateral box jump with a turn in the air: take off side-on and land in a squat on the top, facing a new way.
How to do it
Setup
Standing side-on to a low box or a sturdy flat bench, feet hip-width, arms free to swing.
Steps
- Dip, swing the arms up and jump, turning about a quarter turn in the air.
- Land softly in a squat, both whole feet on the top.
- Stand up, then step down to the floor for the next rep.
Common mistakes
Turning further than you can land: stop the turn where both feet meet the top square. Hopping down from the top: step down to the floor every time. Landing on straight legs: sink into the squat as the feet touch.
Breathing
Exhale on the jump, inhale stepping down.
