L-Sit Hold
Supported on straight arms between the parallel bars of a dip station, hold the straight legs out in front at hip height; timed, and short holds are normal.
How to do it
Setup
Hands on the parallel bars, arms locked, shoulders pressed down, body hanging straight.
Steps
- Raise the straight legs together until they are level with the hips.
- Point the toes and push the shoulders away from the ears.
- Hold and breathe; lower the legs before the shape breaks.
Common mistakes
Legs sagging below the hip line: hold them level; height is the exercise. Shoulders creeping up to the ears: press down through the bars. Knees bending as fatigue sets in: tuck them on purpose as an easier version, not by accident.
Breathing
Short steady breaths; never held.
