Kettlebell Turkish Get-Up

Lying with the kettlebell pressed up on a straight arm, stand up in stages – elbow, hand, bridge, leg sweep, lunge – and reverse the same path down; the arm stays vertical throughout.

How to do it

Setup

Lying, bell pressed up on a straight arm, same-side knee bent, eyes on the bell.

Steps

  1. Roll to the elbow, then the hand.
  2. Bridge, sweep the leg under, and rise to the lunge.
  3. Stand tall; reverse every step to the floor.

Common mistakes

Arm bending anywhere: the lockout is non-negotiable; lighter bell. Rushing steps: the get-up is a chain of positions; own each one. Eyes wandering: watch the bell until standing.

Breathing

Steady; never held through the transitions.
