Kneeling Shoulder Tap
The shoulder tap from the knees: the shorter plank takes load off, so the taps can stay slow and the hips still.
How to do it
Setup
On the knees and straight arms, hands below the shoulders, knees a little behind the hips, a straight line from the head to the knees.
Steps
- Raise one hand and touch the other shoulder with it.
- Keep the hips level and the knees planted.
- Put the hand down and tap with the other one.
Common mistakes
Sitting the hips back toward the heels: keep them forward in line with the body. Rocking onto the supporting side: brace before each lift. Looking up and straining the neck: eyes to the floor between the hands.
Breathing
Steady throughout; never held.
