Kettlebell Two-Arm Military Press

The standing kettlebell press with a bell in each hand, both pressed at once from the rack; twice the load of the one-arm press and no side to lean away from.

How to do it

Setup

Standing, a kettlebell racked at each shoulder on the forearms, wrists straight, glutes tight.

Steps

  1. Press both bells up together to lockout.
  2. Finish with the bells over the shoulders, not out in front.
  3. Lower both into the rack under control.

Common mistakes

One arm finishing late: press together; the weaker arm sets the load. Leaning back under two bells: squeeze the glutes and keep the ribs down. Bells crashing onto the forearms on the way down: lower them, never drop them.

Breathing

Exhale on the press, inhale lowering.
