Kettlebell Kneeling One-Arm Shoulder Press

The one-arm kettlebell press kneeling tall on both knees; with the legs out of it, the glutes and trunk keep the body stacked under the bell.

How to do it

Setup

Kneeling tall on a pad, hips over the knees, one kettlebell racked at the shoulder, wrist straight.

Steps

  1. Squeeze the glutes, then press the bell overhead to lockout.
  2. Finish with the bell stacked over the shoulder, biceps near the ear.
  3. Lower it into the rack; finish the set, then switch arms.

Common mistakes

Wrist bending back under the bell: knuckles up, forearm vertical. Hips sitting back toward the heels: glutes tight, hips over the knees. Bell crashing back into the rack: guide it down along the forearm.

Breathing

Exhale on the press, inhale lowering.
