Kettlebell Seated Two-Arm Military Press

The two-bell press from a flat bench; with the legs out of it and no back rest, the trunk alone holds still under both bells.

How to do it

Setup

Seated on a flat bench, feet planted wide, a kettlebell racked at each shoulder, wrists straight.

Steps

  1. Press both bells overhead together, knuckles up.
  2. Sit tall at lockout, biceps beside the ears.
  3. Lower them into the rack together, forearms vertical.

Common mistakes

Slumping on the bench as the bells go up: sit tall, ribs down. Bells clashing overhead: press them in two straight lines over the shoulders. Wrists folding back under the bells: stack the knuckles over the forearms.

Breathing

Exhale on the press, inhale lowering.
