HIIT

Alternating hard efforts and short rests, logged as one block of time.

HIIT, illustrated

How to do it

Setup

Pick the movements and the clock: hard work, short rests.

Steps

  1. Go HARD in the work windows – that is the "HI".
  2. Rest just enough to go hard again.
  3. Log the whole block as one session.

Common mistakes

Medium effort throughout: that is intervals, not HIIT; the hard windows must HURT. Sloppy reps under the clock: the timer never excuses form. Daily HIIT: it is a spice, not a diet; two-three doses a week.

Breathing

Hard in the work, recovering in the rest.
