Snowboarding

Logged by time; the legs work isometrically far more than they move.

Snowboarding, illustrated

How to do it

Setup

Board and boots fitted, leash and protection, slope by level.

Steps

  1. Ride with the knees bent and the weight centered.
  2. Steer edge to edge with the ankles and knees.
  3. Log the day by time.

Common mistakes

Straight legs: the legs work ISOMETRICALLY here; bent is the stance. Weight on the back foot: the board stops answering; center it. Catching the downhill edge flat: commit to an edge.

Breathing

Steady; recover on the lifts.
