Hanging Advanced Tucked Front Lever Hold
The tucked front lever with the back flat and the hips opened, the thighs square to the trunk: the stage between the tuck and the full lever.
How to do it
Setup
Dead hang from the bar, overhand grip, shoulders active.
Steps
- Pull into the tucked lever, then open the hips until the thighs are square to the flat back.
- Keep the back level, face up, arms straight.
- Hold and breathe; time it, then tuck and lower to the hang.
Common mistakes
Rounding the back to make it easier: flat back; if it rounds, go back to the plain tuck. Knees sinking below the hips: keep the thighs level with the trunk's line. Arms bending: straight arms, the lats press the bar down.
Breathing
Short steady breaths.
