Face Pull
Pull the rope attachment toward your face at eye level, spreading the ends and driving the elbows wide.

How to do it
Setup
Rope on a high pulley, grip the ends thumbs toward you; step back until the arms are long.
Steps
- Pull the rope toward the face, splitting the ends past the ears.
- Finish with the upper arms in line with the shoulders, elbows high.
- Return slowly to long arms.
Common mistakes
Pulling to the chest: that is a row; aim at the face. Elbows dropping: keep them at shoulder height. Leaning back for leverage: stagger the feet and stay tall.
Breathing
Exhale on the pull, inhale on the return.
