Cable Standing Rear Delt Row (With Rope)
Standing at a high pulley, row the rope to the neck with the elbows out at shoulder height; it finishes lower than a face pull.
How to do it
Setup
Facing a rope on a high pulley, one foot stepped back, arms reaching forward with the cable taut.
Steps
- Pull the rope to the neck, elbows out at shoulder height.
- Finish with the elbows just behind the line of the back.
- Return until the arms reach forward and the blades spread.
Common mistakes
Elbows sinking toward the ribs: the lats take over; keep them at shoulder height. Leaning back to drag the stack: stay upright over the staggered feet; lighter stack. Torso tipping forward on the return: stay upright, or the lats join in.
Breathing
Exhale on the pull, inhale on the return.
