The behind-the-back wrist curl with an EZ-bar, hands on its bends behind the hips.

How to do it

Setup

Standing, EZ-bar behind the hips, palms facing back on the angled grips, arms straight.

Steps

  1. Open the fingers and let the bar sink.
  2. Raise the bar toward the glutes by bending the wrists.
  3. Stand tall; the arms stay long behind you.

Common mistakes

Bar bumping the backs of the legs: keep it a hand's width off them. Bending forward at the hips: stand upright. Elbows unlocking at the top: keep the arms straight.
