EZ-Bar Standing Single-Arm Neutral Wrist Curl

Holding an empty EZ-bar by one end at the side, lever its far end up toward the thumb and back; the long bar makes a light load heavy.

How to do it

Setup

Standing, arm hanging at the side, EZ-bar gripped at one end, thumb forward, bar pointing ahead.

Steps

  1. Lower the far end toward the floor.
  2. Lever it up with the wrist, the arm hanging still.
  3. Work one arm, then the other.

Common mistakes

Choking up toward the middle: hold the very end; the length is the load. Bending the elbow to lift: the arm hangs straight; the wrist does it. Letting the bar drop: lower it slowly.

Breathing

Exhale lifting, inhale lowering.
