Dumbbell Seated Neutral Wrist Curl

The neutral wrist curl with a dumbbell in each hand, forearms on the thighs; both wrists rock the bells up toward the thumbs together.

How to do it

Setup

Sitting with both forearms on the thighs, each hand holding a dumbbell upright beyond the knee.

Steps

  1. Tip the front plates down toward the floor.
  2. Raise them back up, thumbs leading.
  3. Keep both forearms flat on the thighs.

Common mistakes

One wrist lagging behind: move both together, or work one arm at a time. Forearms rolling outward to help: thumbs stay up. Bouncing out of the bottom: pause before each lift.

Breathing

Exhale lifting, inhale lowering.
