Cable Standing Wrist Roll

The wrist roller hooked to a low pulley, so the stack is the load; the hands roll the cable up and let it back out with the arms held level.

How to do it

Setup

Facing the low pulley a step back, roller at shoulder height, arms straight, overhand grip.

Steps

  1. Roll the handle over, one hand then the other, to wind the cable.
  2. Unwind it the same way, letting the stack down slowly.
  3. Keep the arms level with the shoulders the whole set.

Common mistakes

Letting the stack drop on the unwind: control every turn. Arms sinking toward the hips: hold them level; a lighter stack if they will not stay. Standing so far back the cable pulls the arms down: step in.

Breathing

Steady throughout; never held.
