Weighted Seated Neutral Wrist Curl

Seated tall with the elbows bent at the sides, a plate in each hand held by the rim, tilt the plates up toward the thumbs and back.

How to do it

Setup

Seated upright, elbows at the sides near 90°, a plate gripped by its rim in each hand, thumbs up.

Steps

  1. Let the plates tip forward and down.
  2. Tilt them back up to the end of the wrists' range.
  3. Keep the elbows fixed at the sides.

Common mistakes

Curling the plates with the elbows: the upper arms and forearms stay still. Holding the rim with the fingertips: take a deeper grip so the plate cannot slip. Leaning back as the wrists tire: sit tall.

Breathing

Exhale lifting, inhale lowering.
