EZ-Bar Seated Close-Grip Concentration Curl

The seated two-arm concentration curl with an EZ-bar held on its inner bends; the angled grip is easier on the wrists than a straight bar.

How to do it

Setup

Seated on the end of a bench, leaning forward, elbows on the inner thighs, EZ-bar held underhand on the inner bends.

Steps

  1. Curl the bar toward the chin, elbows on the thighs.
  2. Squeeze at the top without lifting the torso.
  3. Lower slowly to hanging arms.

Common mistakes

Hands creeping to the outer bends: stay on the inner ones for the whole set. Rocking the torso up to start the bar: it stays still over the thighs. Short reps at the bottom: let the arms hang straight each time.

Breathing

Exhale on the curl, inhale lowering.
