Kettlebell Concentration Curl

The seated concentration curl holding a kettlebell by its handle, the bell hanging below the hand; the offset load makes the wrist work to stay straight.

How to do it

Setup

Seated on a bench, feet wide, elbow on the inner thigh, kettlebell hanging by its handle.

Steps

  1. Curl the bell toward the shoulder, wrist firm.
  2. Keep the elbow braced on the thigh.
  3. Lower slowly; finish the set, then switch arms.

Common mistakes

Wrist folding back under the bell: keep it in line with the forearm. Bell swinging at the bottom: pause before each curl. Elbow lifting off the thigh at the top: stop the curl where it still rests there.

Breathing

Exhale on the curl, inhale lowering.
